About Discern Today
The heart behind Discern Today is to edify the church and warn the Body of Christ against false teachers, false doctrine and wolves in sheep clothing. My hope is that these warnings can protect people from being deceived or lead people under deception to repentance and freedom.
Today, sadly, discernment is not really used much in the church, but it is essential as “Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” (1 Peter 5:8).
I am a continuationist - I believe in the power of the Holy Spirit today including healing, deliverance and miracles. However, I have personally witnessed witchcraft and false teachers (unbiblical) enter the church. As someone with the gift of discernment, I have been deeply disturbed. Asides from seeing the witchcraft operating in the spiritual realm, I would often start to feel the Holy Spirit’s grief and start to weep. Many times, He would give me a burden to intercede or warn people to repent.

False Prophets
“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognise them.”

“For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.”
